SmackDown Live general manager and 4 time world champion Daniel Bryan has been cleared by WWE doctors for an in ring return and the news has wrestling diehards across the world buzzing. It really is huge news after many of Daniel Bryan’s passionate fans and family were pretty confident that he was never going to be able to compete in a ring again. But much like the storyline of Daniel Bryan’s professional wrestling career, he just never gives up when faced with adversity as an underdog in any situation.
It was two years ago (February 8, 2016) on a Monday Night Raw in his hometown of Seattle where Bryan announced he was forced into retirement early due to multiple head trauma specialists and WWE doctors telling him it would be un-safe to compete in a ring anymore after a lengthy history of concussions. Daniel Bryan was without question not ready to make that announcement and it was really sad to watch as a huge fan of his. Bryan has always been known throughout the professional wrestling industry as a man who is very passionate about being a professional wrestler and perfecting the craft of being an in-ring specialist. Always willing to work hard, help another to work on their own in ring abilities, and most importantly just be around the business in any way possible because wrestling is his one love. (Sorry Brie)
After not being able to watch Bryan wrestle a match in ring since 2015 us wrestling fans are going to be scratching for any fix of Bryan competing that we can get but at the same time we have to ponder what might be next for the 36 year old former world champion. Daniel Bryan is still currently SmackDown Live general manager and is on TV frequently so it will be interesting to see what will happen on the show this month only a few weeks out from the biggest stage of them all, Wrestlemania. With so much new fresh talent around the company there are endless different dream matches they could draw up for Bryan but it’s pretty much just a matter of when Bryan will be ready and when it makes the most sense.
So regardless of when he may finally jump back into it I think every fan would agree with me that Daniel Bryan is FINALLY back! Will it be for Wrestlemania? Will it be down the road at SummerSlam? Who knows but one thing that is certain is that all of his friends in the company, fans around the world, and family can take a sigh of relief and take a second to understand how much this must mean to him at the end of the day. It has been a long time coming and I can’t wait to see what the “YES” movement has to offer as we continue into the future of Daniel Bryan the wrestler.
YES! YES! YES!
