Christian McCaffrey RB – ($10,500 DK/$10,500 FD)

No analysis needed for McCaffrey just play him…

Michael Thomas WR – (9300 DK/ $9200 FD)

Similar to McCaffrey just play him. Thomas is basically priced like a high end running back and for good reason. He’s seeing double digit targets and has a high floor every week. The Panthers have one of the worst red zone defense in the league allowing touchdowns at a near 66% clip when opponents get within the red zone. We know the offense runs through two players in Kamara and Thomas. Thomas is seeing a 30.5% target share for the Saints when he gets inside the 20. Just play the dude.

Jaylen Samuels – (7200 DK/ $6900 FD)

Samuels will serve as the lead back with Conner being ruled out this week. In the 6 games without Conner Samuels has averaged over 15 fantasy points, 82.7 yards and .33 touchdowns on 11.5 carries, 6.3 targets and 5.5 receptions. Samuels who is heavily involved in the passing game will also be playing without Juju Smith-Schuster so he should see a few extra targets out of the backfield. The Bengals are No. 31 in pass defense DVOA against running backs. They should be playing in positive game script and Samuels should be able to feast on the Bengals this week.

Kareem Hunt – ($5600 DK/$5600 FD)

In the 2 games that Hunt has played with the Browns hes seen 55% of the snaps and averaged 66 yards on 8.5 targets. He gets to take on the Dolphins this week who are ranked No. 29 in rush defense DVOA and No. 32 in pass defense DVOA against running backs. We know what Hunt can do on the ground but his receiving floor is what’s interesting as he has averaged 6.5 receptions in his two games. If we can get 10 carries and 5 receptions he could return solid value especially given his low price tag. The Browns are likely going to be playing ahead and if this gets ugly they could pull Chubb early and let Hunt eat.

Being successful in DFS comes down to your ability to identify news, matchups, and value. Each week, I’ll go through my top 4 core plays highlighting players with the most volume and value. While things may change leading up to kickoff, please be sure to check lineups following injuries or inactives. Good luck this week and feel free to hit me up on twitter with any questions @GK_Leung.
